We require a trail temperament testing day. Pets have to be neutered or spayed and vaccines up to date. We don’t supply meals.

We went out of town for four days and boarded our dog Mako for the first time with Animal Friends. We had a great experience! The staff was friendly and helpful! They truly made us feel safe leaving our dog with them. The facility is clean! Also, we were able to watch our dog from a camera facing his kennel and a camera facing the back yard. When we watched the camera in the backyard, the staff was playing with him several times throughout the day! It was very reassuring. When we picked him up he was clean, smelled great, his nails were cut, and he was a happy dog with a cute Halloween bandanna! We highly recommend Animal Friends! 🐶🐾❤️

I took my dog for a nail trim. She does not allow me to trim them easily at home. Animal Friends was able to take care of her and I can’t believe how well behaved she was. They used a grinder for safety because she was moving her paws. I will definitely bring her back in the future!

How often should I get my dog groomed?

The frequency of grooming depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Typically, dogs with longer coats or those prone to matting may need grooming every 4 to 6 weeks. Short-haired dogs may only need grooming every 8 to 12 weeks.

How often do nails need trimming?

On average, nails should be trimmed every 3 to 4 weeks. However, active dogs that walk on hard surfaces may naturally wear down their nails, requiring less frequent trimming. If you hear your dog’s nails clicking on the floor, it’s a sign they need attention.

How long does it usually take?

Grooming sessions typically take between 1 to 2 hours, depending on your dog’s size, coat type, and the services requested.

How is my dog dried?

After a bath, your dog is gently towel-dried, followed by a blow-dry using a pet-safe dryer.

Can I stay with my dog and watch?

For grooming sessions, we encourage a calm environment, so we ask pet owners to wait in the designated area. This helps your dog feel relaxed and focused on their grooming experience.
